This article will assist faculty, staff, and students when preparing for a Skype conference call using windows.

First, login to Skype using your Skype username and password

To add a contact, follow the steps below.
- Click on the add contacts icon.
- Insert the Skype username or email address of the person you are looking for.
- Once you have located the person, click on their name.
- Click the blue add to contacts button.



Audio settings
- Click on call.
- Click on audio settings.
- To adjust your microphone settings, select the microphone in the drop-down menu. To test that your microphone is working, verify that the sound bar lights up when you speak.
- To adjust your speakers, click on the drop-down menu and select the correct speakers.


Video settings
- Click on call.
- Click on video.
- Click on video settings.
- A preview of the video will be displayed in the settings box. If you need to change the webcam, select the correct webcam in the drop-down menu.
