Academic Appeals

System developed for the Office of Undergraduate affairs to facility student submission of appeals to academic dismissal

Ad-Hoc Reports

Technology Services can provide ad-hoc reports from CEHD data.

Administrative Rights Request

Some job functions may require administrative rights on university equipment in order to make changes in real time. For these situations, administrative rights may be approved. This approval must be granted by the Dean of the CEHD.

Advising, Graduate, TLAC

System developed for TLAC Graduate Advising to track applications through entry to the university through graduation.

Advising, Undergraduate

System developed for the Undergraduate advising office to track students through their undergraduate academic career.

Candidate Evaluation

System developed to help departments make quick evaluation forms for candidates to faculty positions

CEHD Systems and IT Infrastructure Maintenance

Report a problem within a CEHD System or request a change to CEHD or related system.

Center Evaluations

System developed for research office to track evaluation process for centers.

Certification

System developed to track students seeking educator certification through TEA.

Classroom, Conference Room and Lab Support

Technology maintenance and updates for CEHD classrooms, labs, and conference rooms.

Closed Captioning

Technology Services will assist with closed captioning through the fall 2017 semester. At which point this service will be provided by departments.

Computer Purchase (desktop, laptop, notebook)

Use this service to start the process of purchasing a computer (desktop, laptop, notebook). This is required for all computer purchases within the college including faculty, staff workstations as well as computers purchases for research projects.

Coordinate TAMU public Domain Name Services (DNS) and other Networking Related Services

Technology Services coordinates with TAMU IT to manage the public DNS records for CEHD buildings.

Coordinate with University IT related services

Technology Services can assist when dealing with university IT-related services.

This system was developed to provide an annual review process for graduate students.

IRB Reporting

System whereby graduate students report completion of IRB training.

IT Security Related Question or Concern

Technology Services is responsible for compliance with IT Security rules and procedures of the state and university within the college. If you have a IT-Security related question or concern, please contact Technology Services.

Knowledge Base

The Technology Services Knowledge Base (KB) is a repository of Technology Services documentation. Use this service to request new articles or changes to the KB.

Laserfiche

Technology Services supports the use of the TAMU Shared Service Laserfiche for the CEHD Fiscal Office.

ListServs (CEHD)

The CEHD ListServs provide means for sending email to various groups of faculty and staff within CEHD.information.

Other IT Purchases

Use this option for IT-related purchases that do not fit into one of the other categories (e.g., software, printers, iPads, and the like should use this form). (Additional categories will be added as we work out the details.)

P

Payroll

System used by the business offices in the college to track new hires and terminations of employees as well as funding changes of employee salaries.

Polling

System allowing people to create simple forms that can be secured through NetID logins or left open to all.

Poster Printing

Technology Services provides poster printing service to CEHD faculty, staff and students who are presenting research findings to a class or at a conference. If you need to submit a poster print job please see the information provided below.

Print Services

Technology Services supports the printing infrastructure to the CEHD across all buildings.

Professional Phase Application (Bilingual)

This system is an application used by Bilingual students when ready to proceed to upper division (i.e., professional phase) of their program. This application includes a process for program faculty to review and score applications.

Professional Phase Application (HLKN)

This system is an application used by HLKN, certification-seeking students when ready to proceed to upper division (i.e., professional phase) of their program. This application includes a process for program faculty to review applications.

Professional Phase Application (SPED)

This system is an application used by Special Education students when ready to proceed to upper division (i.e., professional phase) of their program. This application includes a process for program faculty to review and score applications.

Recruitment

System used to help the CEHD recruitment office manage its list of prospective students.

Request New Data Portal System

If you represent an office in the CEHD and need a web system, contact me (Arlen Strader) and I will discuss your needs with you to determine if a Data Portal system would be appropriate for your needs. Be aware that creating new systems or making large changes to existing systems can take significant time to plan, schedule, and implement. As such, please plan ahead.

Research Data Archive

Technology Services can provide long-term archival of research data in compliance with some federal requirements.

Research Data Management

This system was built for the Research Office to track all externally funded projects. Data is used for various reports within the college and projects are listed on the CEHD Directory.

Secure Uploads

This system was developed for the Research Office to allow non-A&M affiliated people to security upload potentially confidential data needed as part of a project. This could include such things as permission forms or tax-related forms.

Shared Network Folders (X-Drive)

The college provides network storage for individual faculty and staff and for groups associated with the college. These shares can be used for university related purposes (and incidental personal use). When requesting a change to permissions, be sure to include the NetID of anyone to add/remove.

Stakeholder Evaluations

System used as part of annual staff evaluation process to collect feedback from stakeholders.

Student Observations

This system was developed for the field experience programs to collect observation reports on students, allow student to provide comments, and distribute to all who need to review (student, supervisor, mentor, principal, program coordinator).

Student Teaching Application (Bilingual)

This system manages applications for student teaching within the Bilingual undergraduate program.

This is the general purpose service that covers most problems associated with office computers, laptops, printers and other IT equipment in the College of Education and Human Development.

Titanium

Titanium is a software package used by the Counseling and Assessment Clinic for scheduling and tracking clients in the clinic.
